Originally from Harwich, Essex, I attended Nottingham Trent University where I studied Applied Chemistry. Following this, my wife Catherine and I went to live and work in Zambia where I worked as a Lubricant Chemist in the Copper Mining Industry. Our family worshipped and held leadership positions in the United Church of Zambia.
During our time in Zambia, I felt a call to return to the UK to train as a Minister in the United Reformed Church. On return I studied theology at Westminster College Cambridge and was ordained in 1985.
Now retired, I have spent nearly forty years in Ministry in Bradford, Poole, West Sussex and Nottingham. During that time I was involved in various church building projects gaining knowledge of grant application processes and grant making bodies.
Catherine and I have five children and seven grandchildren. Besides family, my main interests are music and sport.
